Lately, I’ve been thinking about simplicity — especially when the world feels anything but simple right now.

In midlife, it’s easy to get caught up in chasing the next treatment, supplement, or wellness hack.

But when we pause, it’s often the simple, free things that quietly do the heavy lifting: time with people we love, a good night’s sleep, a walk in fresh air, taking our medication as intended. And what better time to pause, then a long weekend?

This month, let’s come back to centre together. If you want to keep it simple, try these three things:

  • Reconnect — make time for one nourishing chat with a friend.

  • Rest — give yourself permission to wind down properly before bed.

  • Refill — focus on the basics your body needs: consistent meals, water, your prescribed meds.

The most powerful habits are often the simplest — the small, consistent things that quietly support our health, mood, and energy every single day.

Sometimes, simple really is enough.
